Amazon has announced the return of its "Thank My Driver" holiday promotion, allowing customers to express gratitude to their delivery drivers through Alexa-enabled devices or while shopping on Amazon. For the first two million thank-yous, drivers will receive a $5 reward at no cost to the customer.

In a news release, Amazon recognized drivers such as Bree Scott, Andrew Shearouse, and Mathew Sanders for being among the most-thanked during last year's holiday season. Scott, a delivery driver with Troxel Logistics in Fort Wayne, Indiana, said that she enjoys delivering during the holidays as it allows her to contribute to enhancing the holiday experience for customers.

Shearouse, a delivery driver for Supreme Veteran Logistics in Cincinnati, Ohio, appreciates the recognition he has received from customers and his team. Sanders, a driver for Leading Edge Logistix in Temecula, California, enjoys the driving aspect of his job and notes the opportunity to experience and see new things.

According to Amazon Jobs, Amazon Flex allows independent contractors to earn money by delivering packages using their own vehicles. To qualify, drivers must be 21 or older, have a valid U.S. driver's license, and own a mid-size or larger vehicle. Earnings range from $18 to $25 per hour depending on location, tips, and delivery time.

Amazon contracts with Delivery Service Partners (DSP) to provide delivery services. Each DSP is an independent third-party business whose drivers use Amazon-branded vehicles to deliver packages and are responsible for the final step in the order fulfillment process.

The company provides a range of services including online and in-person shopping, delivery of fresh produce, media distribution through platforms like Alexa and Fire TV, cloud solutions via Amazon Web Services (AWS), logistics operations, customer service support, and entertainment offerings such as Amazon Originals on Prime Video and Audible.
