Tampa Uber driver Lisa Vasquez reported that one of her holiday season rides resulted in a significant connection between herself and a passenger. Vasquez discussed her experiences driving for Uber during an interview with Flexible Work News on January 8.
"Little did I know she had no more money, and she didn't know what she was going to do. That ride literally changed her life and my life, literally," said Vasquez, Rideshare Driver. "You never realize how much a simple ride can mean to someone until you hear their story."
According to Vasquez, she met a single mother facing financial difficulties during the holiday season. She provided the woman with free rides to and from work and even offered to pick up her son from school. Vasquez said that this experience developed into a lasting friendship.
