Amazon Prime members experienced the fastest delivery speeds ever in 2024, with significant savings on delivery fees. According to Amazon, Prime members worldwide saved nearly $95 billion on fast, free delivery. In the United States alone, members saved an average of over $500 on deliveries last year.

Doug Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores, stated: “Fast, free delivery with Prime changed customers’ expectations, and we aim to keep exceeding expectations and help members get more of what they need and want—at record speeds.”

To achieve these results, Amazon expanded its Same-Day Delivery sites by more than 60% in 2024 and now serves over 140 metro areas in the U.S. The company has also divided its operations into smaller regions to reduce travel distances for deliveries.

Amazon reports that over two billion items from its everyday essentials selection were delivered the same or next day in the U.S. last year—a 50% increase from the previous year. The selection includes household and pantry items across health, beauty, baby products, pet food, and more.

Prime membership offers additional benefits such as exclusive deals and discounts, access to a vast entertainment collection through Prime Video, unlimited photo storage with Amazon Photos, ad-free music streaming with Amazon Music, grocery savings at Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market, discounted prescription medication through Amazon Pharmacy's RxPass program, healthcare services from One Medical at a reduced fee for Prime members, a free Grubhub+ membership offering unlimited $0 delivery fees on eligible orders, and fuel savings at bp gas stations across the U.S.

The comprehensive study by 'Fortune' magazine recognized Amazon among the world's most admired companies for the ninth consecutive year.
