Uber Eats and Postmates have partnered with Hugo's Tacos to supply meals to firefighters, first responders, and donation centers in Los Angeles. This initiative was announced on Hugo's Tacos' Instagram account on January 16.

In January 2025, wildfires in Los Angeles burned over 40,000 acres, destroyed more than 12,300 structures, and displaced approximately 200,000 residents. The Palisades Fire alone scorched 24,000 acres, while the Eaton Fire devasaid an additional 14,000 acres. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), Landsat 9 imagery is being used by scientists to assess damage and analyze wildfire patterns.

According to its website, Uber provided 10 million free trips, meals, and deliveries worldwide during the pandemic. The company collaborated with over 200 organizations across 54 countries. Their efforts included delivering prescriptions in South Africa and providing meals in the United States to support first responders and vulnerable families.
