Proximus Group has announced a strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to advance its modernization efforts. The collaboration will focus on unifying data ecosystems across Proximus Global's core products and services, enhancing accessibility, analytics, and regulatory compliance. This initiative aims to streamline digital identity and Communication Platform as a Service (CPAAS) through the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for improved scalability and cost-efficiency.
The group plans to shift towards a hybrid cloud-based network to reduce costs, optimize efficiency, and enable global expansion. To support these goals, Proximus is investing in employee training and certification programs to boost cloud expertise.
A key component of this partnership is the use of Amazon Bedrock, a managed service that provides access to high-performing foundation models from leading AI companies. This platform allows Proximus Group to experiment with new generative AI applications safely and responsibly. They have already developed Roubot, a customer-facing chatbot using Amazon Bedrock, designed to offer more secure interactions with customers.
Proximus Group has also joined the AWS ISV Accelerate Programme to expand its software-as-a-service offerings through AWS Partner Network and AWS Marketplace. This move is expected to create new revenue streams and market opportunities.
"This agreement marks a pivotal moment in our relationship with AWS," said Guillaume Boutin, CEO of Proximus Group. "By strengthening our collaboration, we aim to enhance our cloud capabilities and position Proximus Global for future growth and innovation."
Fabio Cerone from AWS commented on the partnership: "By leveraging AWS's depth and breadth of services, Proximus Group is able to find innovative ways to deliver digital solutions to customers around the world."
