Pearson and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced an expansion of their collaboration aimed at enhancing AI-powered learning globally. This partnership, which has spanned 13 years, will see AWS continue as Pearson's strategic AI and cloud provider, advancing infrastructure and AI capabilities to enhance Pearson’s products and services.

The collaboration focuses on improving the learner experience in higher education, virtual schools, and English-language learning through AWS’s cloud infrastructure and Amazon Bedrock. It aims to provide educators with AI-powered lesson generation, assessments, and insights while enabling faster content generation.

"Pearson CEO Omar Abbosh said, 'As technology transforms the way we learn, improving people’s ability to learn is vital for an adaptive workforce. With the help of AWS, Pearson will be able to get there faster, scale personalized learning, and create more access to AI tools for learners and educators.'"

Matt Garman, CEO at AWS, added: "We’re excited to expand our long-standing collaboration with Pearson to unlock the power of cloud and AI for learners around the world."

AWS will also support workforce skilling efforts by extending its relationship with Pearson VUE for delivering AWS certifications. The partnership aims to innovate on additional transformative learning solutions in areas like clinical assessments and enterprise learning.

This initiative aligns with Pearson's commitment to integrating AI into its offerings and focusing on enterprise learning markets. The collaboration is set to empower individuals and organizations with future-ready skills in a rapidly changing environment.
