Airbnb has joined forces with AMB Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE) to support Atlanta's economy during major upcoming events. This collaboration aims to prepare the city for a series of global gatherings, enhancing economic growth across the region.

The partnership will involve community engagement initiatives designed to empower current and potential hosts, local entrepreneurs, and small businesses. As part of this effort, Airbnb has launched "Atlanta Unlocked," an installment of its Airbnb Academy that educates residents on the economic benefits of hosting during significant events.

Since 2019, the Airbnb Academy has been active in Atlanta, collaborating with organizations like the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE), the NAACP, and The Village Market. These partnerships help individuals gain skills necessary to become successful Airbnb hosts while acquiring other transferable skills.

"AMB Sports and Entertainment is dedicated to creating a lasting legacy through community impact," said Nana-Yaw Asamoah, Chief Commercial Officer at AMB Sports and Entertainment. "Our partnership with Airbnb is grounded in a shared belief that investing in communities drives meaningful change."

Janaye Ingram, Director of Community Partner Programs and Engagement at Airbnb, highlighted the company's role in supporting cities during major events: "Our partnership with AMB Sports and Entertainment exemplifies this commitment."

Airbnb will also support Showcase Atlanta, an initiative led by Mayor Andre Dickens aimed at maximizing economic benefits from large-scale events for Metro Atlanta residents.

"Innovative partnerships like that between Airbnb and AMB Sports and Entertainment help bring the vision of Showcase Atlanta to life," noted Norelie Garcia Valentin, CEO of Showcase Atlanta.

To date, Airbnb has invested over $2.5 million into increasing economic opportunities for Atlantans. This includes collaborations with nonprofits such as Operation HOPE and Kindred Futures.

Lance Triggs from Operation HOPE emphasized their shared goals: "Our continued partnership with Airbnb reflects a shared commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs."

Additionally, Dr. Janelle Williams from Kindred Futures expressed gratitude for funding received through the Airbnb Community Fund: "We’re thankful for Airbnb’s support that will allow us to continue to partner with communities."

As more world-class events head towards Atlanta, these collaborations aim to extend economic benefits beyond stadiums into broader community-driven growth initiatives.
