Grubhub is expanding its partnerships to support local restaurants and their teams. The company emphasizes the importance of independent restaurants as a foundation for its success and acknowledges the challenges faced by the U.S. restaurant industry, which employs over 12 million people.

During Small Business Month, Grubhub intensified efforts to support independent restaurants through strategic initiatives. The company is a founding supporter of MORE, a coalition aimed at creating a thriving and equitable restaurant industry. This coalition includes organizations like The James Beard Foundation, Regarding Her Food, and Women In Hospitality United.

Elizabeth Murray, Co-founder of MORE, stated, "Grubhub’s early support of our mission, continued partnership, and commitment to impact has been transformational for our work."

Since 2022, the Grubhub Community Fund has worked with Women in Hospitality United on developing the MORE Coalition. The fund continues to support the coalition's launch and public awareness efforts.

Grubhub also partners with Feed the Soul Foundation to empower restaurant entrepreneurs. With grant support from the Grubhub Community Fund, they launched the Culinary Business Network (CBN), a digital platform providing educational resources to food entrepreneurs nationwide.

Juana Collins, Executive Director of Feed the Soul Foundation, commented on this collaboration: "We are excited to collaborate with Grubhub on our new Culinary Business Network digital platform."

The Grubhub Community Fund has distributed over $1.2 million to local restaurants across the country in partnership with Feed the Soul Foundation.

Additionally, through a partnership with The Hatchery Chicago, Grubhub supports an Incubation Cohort program for early-stage entrepreneurs developing consumer-packaged goods brands. Since 2023, this initiative has provided scholarships for Chicago's West Side residents participating in The Hatchery's programs.

In New York City and Chicago, Grubhub has implemented initiatives such as bringing back the $1 Cheese Slice campaign and launching an award program called Established 2020 to honor local restaurants that opened during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Grubhub remains committed to supporting independent restaurant partners through operational initiatives and strategic partnerships. The company aims to continue fostering growth within the hospitality industry.
