Airbnb and FIFA have entered into a significant partnership covering three major tournaments. This collaboration aims to enhance travel experiences for fans, provide economic opportunities for local communities, and support Host Cities. Over the next three years, Airbnb will be an Official Partner for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, an Official Supporter for the FIFA World Cup 26 in North America, and an Official Supporter for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 in the Americas. Additionally, Airbnb will offer Official Fan Accommodation globally on its platform for these events.

Brian Chesky, Airbnb co-founder and CEO, stated: “The World Cup brings the world together — and so do we. Airbnb is proud to partner with FIFA to offer fans once-in-a-lifetime experiences during the tournaments—while welcoming hundreds of thousands of guests during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and driving meaningful economic impact for local communities.”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We’re delighted to welcome Airbnb to FIFA, and we’re thrilled that it is taking on such a key role in the three groundbreaking tournaments coming up.” He highlighted that having a travel leader like Airbnb involved is special as they aim to unite people through football.

The partnership will allow fans to engage with their passion for football through travel and cultural experiences. Fans can choose from various accommodations and explore local traditions via Airbnb Experiences led by locals. Starting today, options include private training sessions with American goalkeeping icon Tim Howard or watching a game alongside Cobi Jones during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

Tim Howard commented on his involvement: “Football has the power to bring people together in unforgettable ways... It’s a chance to share my love for the game and connect with fans in a hands-on, meaningful way.”

With anticipation building ahead of the FIFA World Cup 26, Deloitte estimates that over 380,000 Airbnb guests will attend next year’s event. The economic impact is projected at $3.6 billion across Host City economies.

SébaStien Long, an Airbnb host from Houston, shared his excitement: “I’m proud to support Houston—the city I’ve called home... By showcasing our local culture and hospitality... I can play my part in ensuring that the economic benefits of this once‑in‑a‑lifetime event are felt across the entire Houston community.”

Furthermore, Airbnb plans a $5 million investment through its Host City Impact Program for additional community support during the FIFA World Cup 26.
