Amazon has announced its largest Prime Day event to date, extending the shopping experience to four days. Starting on July 8 at 12:01 a.m. PDT, Prime members will have access to millions of deals across more than 35 categories, including significant discounts on brands such as Levi’s, ELEMIS, and Shark. The event also promises up to 50% off select Amazon Devices.
Carmen Nestares, vice president of North America Marketing and Prime Tech, stated, "We're excited for Prime members to experience our biggest Prime Day yet, with more days than ever and millions of deals from brands customers are eager to shop this season–from trending products and newly discovered brands to tried and true favorites."
The extended event includes daily deal drops under themes like Summer Savings and Premium Deals. Discounts will be available on a wide range of products from popular brands such as Ninja, Sony, and Too Faced. In addition to these offers, Prime members can enjoy savings on lawn and garden items, outdoor toys and games, grocery essentials, and household necessities.
Prime Day will also focus on back-to-school shopping with deals on classroom supplies and dorm room essentials. Students can benefit from up to 40% off select Samsung Chromebooks and exclusive savings on Amazon device bundles.
For young adults aged 18-24, Amazon introduces a new offer that allows them to earn additional cash back during the event. This includes stacking a total of 10% cash back on eligible purchases during Prime Day.
Small businesses are also highlighted in this year's event. More than 60% of sales in Amazon's store come from independent sellers. Ron Robinson, Founder of BeautyStat Cosmetics said: “The beauty of Prime Day is in the anticipation and excitement it generates."
In addition to retail offers, Amazon is providing special opportunities across its services such as Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market discounts, healthcare savings with One Medical membership reductions for Prime members, and enhanced earnings through the Prime Visa and Store Card programs.
During the event period from July 8 through July 11, customers can claim free games via Prime Gaming or save significantly on select music merchandise through Amazon Music.
Prime members can use AI-powered shopping features for personalized deal recommendations by setting up interests or using Alexa+ for tailored advice.
