Uber for Business announced an exclusive contract renewal with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). This agreement enables rideshare access for millions of federal employees and contractors for various trips, including business travel and emergency response. Originally awarded in 2020, the contract has been renewed for five years and expanded to include new features aimed at modernizing government travel.

The GSA's mission to consolidate procurement aligns with Uber's commitment to efficient solutions in the public sector. "Our renewed partnership with the GSA will help government agencies simplify their travel and transportation needs," said Andrew Macdonald, Uber President and Chief Operating Officer.

Uber for Business offers a comprehensive technology solution that allows GSA to modernize federal travel while simplifying expenses and reporting processes. Enhancements include expanded access for government contractors, international availability across more than 15,000 cities in 70 countries, mandatory business profiles for rideshare activities, mission-support use cases like natural disaster relief efforts, and access to high-capacity vehicles.

Uber for Business aims to streamline business travel and elevate customer experience globally since its launch in 2014.
