Amazon Business surpasses eight million global customers with expanded selection and new savings tools

Amazon announced that its Amazon Business service now supports over eight million organizations globally, excluding emerging markets. The platform serves a range of customers from small businesses to large corporations, including 97 of the Fortune 100 companies.

From local entrepreneurs to multinational companies, we deliver what matters most: access to hundreds of millions of items worldwide, significant cost savings year-round, and even more convenient delivery helping organizations save time and money, reduce complexity, and ultimately grow.”

Amazon Business has expanded its selection by 25% compared to last year. Customers now have access to hundreds of millions of items at everyday low prices. There has also been an increase in the number of products from small business sellers—up nearly 80% globally year-over-year. More than 160 million items from small business sellers are available on the platform.

The company reports that U.S. organizations saved over $150 million through quantity discounts in the first half of the year. Globally, small business customers saved more than $70 million by purchasing in bulk last year; U.S.-based small businesses accounted for over $25 million of these savings.

Amazon Business offers features such as Guided Buying—which directs employees toward preferred products and enforces spending limits—and Spend Analytics that provides insights into organizational spending patterns. Other tools include curated product lists for repeat purchases and integrated search functions within existing procurement systems.

To meet varied delivery needs, Amazon Business allows customers to choose specific delivery windows and locations such as loading docks or mailrooms. Investments in logistics infrastructure have led to faster delivery speeds; hundreds of millions of orders were delivered same day or next day last year worldwide.

Pallet deliveries have been expanded so that more than 85% of U.S. business customers can receive consolidated shipments—a move aimed at reducing packaging waste and improving operational efficiency.

Business Prime members received additional benefits including free shipping; they saved more than $750 million globally in shipping fees last year. Nearly half of global orders placed by these members arrived same day or next day during this period.

Business Prime offers different plans tailored for both large enterprises—with features like spend monitoring—and smaller businesses with rewards programs offering up to 4% back on certain purchases.

Since launching in the United States in 2015, Amazon Business has become a key part of Amazon’s strategy and now operates in eleven countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
