Amazon announced that Amazon Business now serves over eight million organizations globally, excluding emerging markets. The service, which marks its tenth anniversary this year, caters to a wide range of customers from small businesses to some of the largest companies in the world. According to the company, 97 of the Fortune 100 companies and hundreds of thousands of small business customers use Amazon Business.

"When organizations partner with Amazon Business, they're not just shopping—they're streamlining their supply chain while saving time and money through powerful tools designed specifically for business needs," said Shelley Salomon, global vice president for Amazon Business. "From local entrepreneurs to multinational companies, we deliver what matters most: access to hundreds of millions of items worldwide, significant cost savings year-round, and even more convenient delivery helping organizations save time and money, reduce complexity, and ultimately grow.”

The company reports that it has reached over $35 billion in annualized gross sales. In the first half of this year alone, U.S. organizations saved more than $150 million through quantity discounts offered by Amazon Business. Globally, small business customers have saved more than $70 million through bulk purchasing last year; U.S.-based small businesses accounted for over $25 million of these savings.

Amazon Business provides features such as Guided Buying and Spend Analytics to help organizations manage spending and identify potential savings. These tools are aimed at reducing unplanned purchases and offering data-driven insights into procurement patterns.

Selection on Amazon Business has expanded significantly in the past year. Customers now have access to 25% more items globally compared to last year, including growth in specialized categories like industrial supplies and professional-grade equipment. Products from small business sellers also increased by nearly 80% globally year-over-year.

Business customers can use features like Business Lists for repeat purchases and Integrated Search within their e-procurement systems. The platform’s network includes millions of sellers worldwide—many being small or medium-sized businesses—which helps provide supply chain resilience.

Delivery options have been tailored for organizational needs with flexible scheduling and designated drop-off points such as loading docks or mailrooms. More than 85% of U.S. business customers can receive consolidated pallet deliveries—a move aimed at reducing packaging waste as well as operational complexity.

Last year saw hundreds of millions of orders delivered same day or next day around the world thanks to investments in logistics infrastructure such as delivery stations and sortation centers.

Business Prime membership continues to offer additional benefits such as shipping fee savings—last year members saved more than $750 million globally—and faster delivery speeds. Nearly half of all global orders placed by Business Prime members arrived same day or next day; in the U.S., this figure was over 70%. Membership perks include enhanced spend visibility tools for large enterprises and rewards programs for smaller businesses.

Amazon Business operates in eleven countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Shelley Salomon stated that customer feedback is central to ongoing improvements: “From every day low prices to advanced spend management capabilities, Amazon Business enables organizations to purchase more strategically so they can reinvest their savings back into their business.”
