Instacart and Merchants Distributors, LLC (MDI) have announced a partnership to bring Instacart’s e-commerce solutions to independent grocers within MDI’s network. This collaboration will allow participating grocers to join the Instacart App for same-day delivery services and implement Storefront Pro, Instacart’s customizable end-to-end e-commerce platform designed for grocery retailers.

The Storefront Pro solution provides advanced customization options and control over digital storefronts for MDI's retail partners. It includes data analytics tools powered by Instacart technology aimed at identifying growth opportunities. Additionally, these independent grocers will have access to full-stack fulfillment technologies supporting both pickup and delivery services.
Storefront Pro also offers new retail media capabilities through access to Instacart Carrot Ads. This enables retailers within MDI's network to monetize both digital and physical store operations via a unified retail media network.
With this initiative, MDI’s independent retailers become part of more than 600 retail banners using Instacart’s white-label e-commerce platforms. The partnership aims to provide an enhanced omnichannel shopping experience while creating new opportunities for customer engagement and business growth.
