MassRobotics has announced the launch of the Physical AI Fellowship, a virtual program created in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Startups and NVIDIA Inception. The initiative aims to support promising robotics startups in developing and scaling physical AI solutions. The first cohort for Fall 2025 includes Bedrock Robotics, Blue Water Autonomy, Diligent Robotics, Generalist AI, RobCo, Tutor Intelligence, Wandercraft, and Zordi.
The fellowship is designed to help startups move from prototypes to enterprise-grade deployments by providing technical guidance and resources. Participants will work directly with scientists and engineers from the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center to refine their solutions.
Tom Ryden, Executive Director at MassRobotics, said: "Physical AI is moving intelligent machines from the lab into the real world. This fellowship will give robotics startups the practical support to build, validate, and scale by combining AWS's leadership in AI, NVIDIA's accelerated computing stack, and our robotics expertise and network."
Fellows will receive embedded science and engineering support from AWS as well as access to cloud computing resources valued at $200,000 in AWS credits. They will also benefit from dedicated support channels. Additionally, NVIDIA will provide access to its hardware and software stack—including the NVIDIA Isaac Platform and NVIDIA Cosmos—alongside training opportunities through the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.
Tye Brady, Chief Technologist of Robotics at Amazon, stated: "Physical AI is the next frontier of innovation where the intelligence we have advanced in the digital world now shapes how machines interact in the real world. With the tools and guidance from AWS and our partners in this program, these startups will have both the horsepower and playbook to transform bold ideas into automation that will reshape entire industries."
Deepu Talla, Vice President of Robotics and Edge AI at NVIDIA added: "NVIDIA's AI infrastructure and software technologies help companies all over the world simulate, train, and deploy robots safely and more efficiently. Our collaboration will empower startups with the tools and programs they need to bring the next generation of intelligent machines to market."
Startups participating in the fellowship also gain access to MassRobotics’ facilities for prototyping and testing. They can participate in specialized training sessions with teams from AWS and NVIDIA. The program offers go-to-market support including opportunities for visibility at major events hosted by AWS, NVIDIA or MassRobotics; joint promotion; as well as connections with customers, investors or collaborators within a community that comprises over 100 resident startups.
