The Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator has announced that eight companies will move forward in its 16-week program, which aims to help climate technology firms bring their innovations to millions of Amazon devices globally. The selected companies will present their technologies to Amazon Devices and Services teams for potential integration into the company’s products.

"We're very excited to see more from these eight companies that all represent exciting decarbonization opportunities for consumer electronics," said Maiken Moller-Hansen, Director of Energy & Sustainability at Amazon. "Our goal with this Accelerator is to find new ways to reduce the carbon impact of how Amazon devices are built, powered, and used. From next-generation battery solutions to breakthrough energy efficiency innovations, these companies are developing new technologies that could help us advance our Climate Pledge goals while delivering exceptional experiences to our customers."

Launched in March 2025, the accelerator seeks out companies whose work can support efforts to lower the carbon footprint of Amazon devices. Fourteen initial participants were announced in July 2025. After a first-round pitch event using Amazon's unique presentation style, eight were chosen for further participation. These companies will continue virtual workshops with Amazon mentors and leaders before making a final pitch to executives in November 2025.

The eight advancing cohort members are Aircarbon, Amprius, Azumo, Elephantech, GRST, Heartland, Jiva Materials, and Quantum Cool.

The program began with an intensive two-day session in San Francisco focused on Amazon’s customer-centric approach. Participants learned about the PR-FAQ process—a method used by Amazon for product development—and received training on document writing as practiced by company leaders.
