Uber Eats has announced new features and programs aimed at making grocery delivery more affordable and personalized for customers in several countries. The company is responding to rising grocery prices, particularly in fresh produce, which has led to the term “veggie-flation.”

A key addition is the launch of Fresh Days, a weekly program that offers discounts of up to 50% on select grocery items such as fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy. This initiative is now available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, South Africa, France, Japan, Taiwan, and Spain. In some markets, these offers may be exclusive to Uber One members. For U.S. customers who are Uber One members, there is an exclusive 30% discount every Tuesday on selected fresh products.

Uber Eats is also introducing new tools designed to give shoppers more control over their orders. Customers can set replacement preferences for unavailable items with AI-powered suggestions based on price and nutrition. These preferences will soon be saved automatically for future orders. Live order editing allows changes to be made until items are placed in the cart by the shopper. An enhanced live chat feature lets shoppers share photos of unavailable or lower-quality items so customers can approve replacements or request refunds in real time.

ALDI has joined Uber Eats as a retail partner with groceries from over 2,500 stores across the United States. ALDI becomes the first retailer on Uber Eats to accept SNAP-EBT payments nationwide from launch day.

The company has introduced a Fresh Guarantee policy promising full review and refunds for eligible fresh items that arrive spoiled or damaged if reported within 48 hours along with photo evidence.

“We’re excited to welcome ALDI to Uber Eats,” said a spokesperson from Uber Eats. “Offering a curated selection of groceries from more than 2,500 stores nationwide... helping make grocery delivery more inclusive and accessible.”

With these updates and ongoing partnerships with major grocers and retailers worldwide, Uber Eats aims to provide greater choice and convenience for its users.
