Julia Roberts will return to theaters in the psychological thriller "After the Hunt," directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Nora Garrett. The film, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, centers on a college professor played by Roberts who is confronted with a student's accusation against a colleague, portrayed by Andrew Garfield. As the situation unfolds, her own past comes under scrutiny.
The cast also includes Ayo Edebiri as the student, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Chloë Sevigny. Guadagnino, known for films such as "Call Me by Your Name" and "Challengers," leads the project.
"After the Hunt" will debut in New York and Los Angeles on October 10 before expanding nationwide on October 17. Prime members have an opportunity to attend early-access screenings on October 15.
