Amazon has announced the launch of its Prime Big Deal Days event, starting at 12:01 a.m. PT on October 7. The event offers exclusive access for Prime members to millions of deals across various categories such as beauty, electronics, home products, and seasonal essentials.
According to Carmen Nestares, vice president of North America Marketing and Prime Tech, “Prime Big Deal Days is all about giving our members a head start on the holidays—with millions of deals across popular categories like seasonal favorites, must-have gifts, and household essentials, all with the convenience of fast, free delivery. We’re working hard to provide low prices to help customers stock up and save on all items in one place, from groceries and home décor to electronics and toys to beauty and fashion.”
The promotion includes discounts such as up to 65% off select electronics from Anker, up to 50% off Amazon devices including Smart Plug and Echo Frames, and up to 45% off bundles like Kindle Colorsoft Kids Essentials. There are also savings on apparel from Levi’s and CIDER (up to 50%), vacuums from BISSELL and iRobot (up to 45%), toys from brands like LEGO (up to 30%), kitchen appliances from KitchenAid (up to 40%), TVs from LG (up to 40%), premium beauty products from Estée Lauder (up to 30%), personal care items from Dove (up to 25%), among others.
The event highlights new-to-Amazon brands such as Vans, Milk Makeup, and Drunk Elephant. Shoppers can also find deals on household staples like Dawn dish soap or Nespresso coffee makers.
Amazon will feature “Today’s Big Deals,” which drop three times daily during the event—at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PT—and offer limited-time discounts for Prime members on brands such as Keurig and STAUB.
Prime Big Deal Days also supports small businesses selling through Amazon’s platform by offering special discounts on their products. More than half of sales in Amazon’s store come from independent sellers—most being small- or medium-sized businesses—which allows shoppers access to a wide selection at competitive prices.
Prime members receive additional benefits during the event. These include one free grocery item with eligible Same Day Delivery orders in select locations; increased cash back with Prime Visa or Store Card; dining perks via Grubhub+; early access for young adult members aged 18–24; enhanced in-store grocery savings at Amazon Fresh locations; significant discounts on books; price reductions on movie rentals through Prime Video; an extended free trial for Amazon Music Unlimited for new users; healthcare membership savings with One Medical; AI-powered shopping tools such as Rufus assistant or Alexa+ deal tracking; visual search features using Amazon Lens; and audio product summaries via Hear the Highlights.
Membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year in the U.S., with discounted rates available for young adults or qualifying government assistance recipients.
Amazon describes itself as guided by customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. The company says it aims “to be Earth’s Most Customer-Centric Company,” listing innovations including customer reviews, personalized recommendations, AWS cloud services, Alexa voice technology, Just Walk Out retail systems, Kindle Direct Publishing platform for authors, Fire tablets/TVs/Echo devices/smart home products/Studios/Climate Pledge initiatives.
