Amazon has introduced a new feature called Add to Delivery, aimed at making shopping more convenient for its Prime members in the United States. The feature allows users to add eligible items to their upcoming Amazon deliveries with just one tap through the Amazon Shopping app or on Amazon.com using mobile devices.
According to Amazon, "With a single tap, members can instantly add eligible items from across Amazon—everything from pantry staples, to pet toys, electronics, clothing, books, and more—to upcoming deliveries." This means customers no longer need to create separate orders or go through checkout again if they remember something else they need after placing an order. There are also no additional shipping fees for adding these items.
The Add to Delivery button appears in blue on the product detail page of eligible items. Once tapped, the item is automatically added to the next scheduled delivery. If customers change their minds immediately after adding an item, there is an “Undo” option available.
Amazon stated that this feature adapts to how people actually shop: "Add to Delivery makes shopping with Amazon even more convenient—so when you realize there’s something else you need, you can quickly add it to your next order."
Currently, Add to Delivery is available exclusively for U.S. Prime members. When using the app or website on a mobile device, eligible products will display the blue Add to Delivery button.
The launch comes ahead of Prime Big Deal Days on October 7–8. During this event, shoppers can expect early holiday savings and special limited-time offers.
Prime membership includes other benefits beyond free shipping and access to Prime Video; it also helps members save money in various ways throughout the year.
