Amazon Web Services (AWS) has entered into a new Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with the Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore (CSA) to enhance national cyber defense and cybersecurity measures. The agreement was announced by Josephine Teo, Minister of Digital Development and Information and Minister-in-charge of Smart Nation and Cybersecurity, during the Singapore International Cybersecurity Week 2025.
The MOC aims to facilitate several initiatives, including intelligence sharing, joint operations in response to incidents affecting critical systems, technical collaborations such as joint tabletop exercises, and development within the cybersecurity ecosystem.
AWS stated that collaboration among various stakeholders is essential for cyberspace security. According to AWS, this agreement supports its ongoing commitment to making Singapore a secure Smart Nation and demonstrates its continued cooperation with governments in the digital space.
David Koh, Chief Executive of CSA, said: “Cybersecurity is a team effort, and we look forward to establishing a new partnership with Amazon Web Services to strengthen Singapore’s cyber defences. By leveraging the expertise of key industry players, we can better secure our systems, mitigate risks arising from the use of Cloud and Artificial Intelligence and develop capability.”
